Roswell Mill

I recently did a couple of photo shoots at Roswell Mill. It is a beautiful hidden spot in the middle of historic Roswell, not far from where we live. It was once a thriving cotton mill and remnants of the old mill, such as a giant flume, brick walls and a beautiful waterfall, have been preserved. The first time I went there was to do a little photo shoot for my mom. I was pleased to find such an enchanting spot, so close to home. My mom is lovely lady inside and out and it was fun to photograph her! Of course, Max was with us, so I had to get a picture of him and his Nana together!



YDR

I recently had a chance to visit one of my dearest friends, YDR. She is a rare beauty...inside and out! It was absolutely beautiful to see her with my baby boy...

MPM

I feel that some of the best pictures I've taken, are of my sweet baby boy, MPM. He has been my inspiration to improve my photography, and he's been an excellent subject! In the beginning, it was all I could do to capture a photo of him while he was awake, so most of the early photos are of him sleeping.

One of my favorite little photo shoots I did of him was for his birth announcement, when he was just 12 days old. The most beautiful light streamed through the window and he was snuggled inside of his cozy blue blanket. When he was born, he was far from "Gerber Baby" cute, but he was cute in his own way...a sort of "little old man" cute. Since then, he has changed so dramatically, and I wouldn't believe he was ever this small if I didn't have the photos to prove it. I'll share a few of my favorites with you...

MAC

I did a very fun little photo shoot today with my beautiful little niece, MAC. She is such a sweet girl, and it was fun to take pictures of her in her Halloween costume. She loves princesses, and decided to be Ariel this year...and what a pretty Ariel she was! She opted to show off her new bob haircut, which is super cute!

Hello and welcome to my new photo blog! For me, photography is a tool...a way to freeze a moment in time, so that it remains fresh. Our lives are in constant motion...evolving and changing without pause. Fortunately, photography affords us a way to remember those special times, those beautifully simple moments that so are so easily forgotten...our baby's perfectly wrinkled toes, a child's snaggletoothed smile, a father's work-worn hands, a quiet moment shared by a couple in love.


I am excited to fill this blog with photos of the beautiful people that God brings into my life.
